Foi muito emocionante, tive o previlegio de dividir o dia com eles. :)
To me was really meaninful because, It feels like I am part of the cast of their love story:
Conheci o Christian very ramdomly in London in a conference: he was a black male from congo,. And I was an Angolan Girl(22) Foreign Student from Angola living in UK.
A empatia foi imediata, we talked so much, he had lived in Angola as a consultant so we had a lot to talk about things in Angola carreer wise, nightlife, music, so much that we took the same metro train eventhou we were going to different directions.
From there on we changed contacts and kept in touch. It was so akward that Christian was then Living in Angola and I was Living in Sheffield, but many times,we happened to bumped into each other at heathrow airport , I say it is akward because as I lived in Sheffield I did not go to heathrow often, both of us were not travelling everytime we happened to meet by conscidence at the airport. either I was taking someone or buy plane ticket some singular ocasion like that.
But yeah thats to say that from that we keep a very nice friendship, talked a lot everytime we had a change, he had always been very nice and respectfull to me.
Christian as he name suggests is a very interesting guy, quite social,humble, classy, clever, charming, intelligent ,respectfull, motivated, and most important he belives and follows Jesus Christ.
I could go on endless and say things about him, but I will keep it short and say that he´s one in a million, a person with such a positivism, and a powerfull source of inspiration and support. I don´t get to see Christian often, eventhou we´ve attempted to meet for drinks and etc, but I am so desorginised with my agenda. However everytime we had a chance to talk, even if it is short was such a useful moment, he is good in beeing objective with things he says. Without him even realised I have mad great decisions as a student, a professional and in my personal life with the rational that he does about issues. I am so glad I am his friend.
Moving on to the Girly looking Bride, I so Have to admit that she looks so different in the pictures, the spirit of love, happyness and completeness has really transformed Berta to to look like a girl from a fairy tale story. Wow I was enchanted to see a girl in the altar and all the way through out the party, very different from the woman soldier that I know and I saw every day in the office for 3 years. Yeah I am so proud of you, from the time we´ve meet on my first day in the office and we´ve found out that I knew Christian. At the time their were only engagged and had a daughter Anaya (Who likes me and thinks I am her fellow because I am short J). Like Christian Berta is very inspirational and supportive. But in a very different way, While Christian is very cool and chilled, Berta is frontal and hard. She is very desciplined, does it all at once and does not procastinate, she is a perfectionist, battler, strong,caple,objective,tidy,planner,stylish. It was amazing and incredible to observe Berta, The way she can deal in perfection with work, kids, husband, business, leasure. At the busiest moments at work, she can still look perfectly stylish and smart while she can arrange for kids activity and husband needs and not fail one, her organization skills are close to perfection in my opinion. I also appreciate the importance she gives to family and friends functionality.
I have just stated that both of then are very distint individuals in a fuzzy World. Congrats to your parents for giving such a good education.
I think that I have said enough, well I don´t want to stop writing about them... LOL this might explain to my close friends and family why I was so emotional and happy when I came home after the weeding, it was such an amazing time. Because I knew their story, and the proper party was so well planned and conducted, with an extravagant African act by the couple, Christian heart breaking toast, God´s Blessed prayer, loads of good food and dance and finally congratualtions for the decoration.
Ah Ah, I just remembererd that when I meet Christian in London, back in 2003 or 2004, he used to say to me and people in London“ Wow Angola have loads of beautfull woman, but they are crazy, they all love to get married by all means, lol, this is scary” .
To my dearest friend B& C this is my humble tribute to show how much appreciation I have for you guys, and overall thank you for letting me be a part of your life by always inviting me to your close events and giving me support when I needed.
